USA Today wants to know who’s got the best band anywhere!
Following a week of fan voting on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook, the Minuteman Band placed SECOND in USA Today’s weekly “For The Win” weekly College Football Fan Index.
Voters could Tweet or Instagram their votes or comment on USA Today Facebook posts using specified hashtags.
UMass fans got the vote out with a coordinated social media effort, including over 400 tweets and numerous emails and Facebook group posts.
Also of note in the final tally, UMass football takes on Ohio tomorrow. And in the #9 spot is Western Michigan, whose band director is UMass band alum and Hall of Famer John Leonard.
