Competing in mtvU’s best music on-campus Woodie Awards, Alex Schwartz is up for Best Breakthrough College Artist.
As “McAllister,” Schwartz, puts a fresh twist on the acoustic singer-songwriter genre. Taking cues from a variety of genres, Alex Schwartz builds a sound unique to the songs he sings, telling stories of love and lust, loneliness and subtle anger, and just making the best of whats around.
But no piece of recorded music can ever live up to a live performance, and McAllister strives to make every show a unique and memorable experience. Whether it be a small bar or a large club, Alex Schwartz has the ability to turn the venue into a living room setting, full of people ready to chat and sing some quality tunes.
Alex Schwartz is a freshman playing tenor sax in the Minuteman Band.
