It’s the UMass Band Alumni Network’s FAVORITE time of year… giving scholarships to members of the BEST BAND ANYWHERE!
There are three (3) available $1,000 scholarships that will be awarded Friday, October 25th at the Band Alumni Reception during Homecoming. Awardees are encouraged to invite family and friends to this event!
APPLICATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12th.
PERCUSSIONISTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR BOTH SCHOLARSHIPS,
BUT MUST APPLY SEPARATELY FOR EACH.
Band Alumni Scholarship
Established in 1985 by the Class of 1965, the Band Alumni Scholarship recognizes current band members who demonstrate the excellence, energy, and enthusiasm that defines the Minuteman Marching Band.
Two scholarships of $1,000 will be awarded.

Thom Hannum Scholarship
Established in 2019 to celebrate Thom Hannum’s 40th season with the Minuteman Band, the Thom Hannum Scholarship recognizes a UMMB percussionist who demonstrates excellence, devotion, and heart.
One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded.
