Fun is the only word to describe the inaugural George N. Parks Golf Tournament held August 5th at Hickory Ridge Country Club in Amherst.
Alumni, parents, friends, athletic director John McCutcheon, new UMass President Bob Caret and new director of the Minuteman Band Tim Anderson joined 68 golfers and over 20 volunteers for a fun-filled summer day playing (and I use that word loosely) golf and enjoying stories with friends.
Over $4,700 was raised for the George N. Parks Memorial Award, given to deserving bandos and awarded by Mrs. Jeanne Parks.
